World № 1 Voznyatski Caroline won a hard match from a super 1/8-finalite in Indian Wells, twice a champion Kim Clijsters ended their participation because of injury.
Dane started very poorly match against Alisa Kleybanova and was forced to pay developments after losing the first set 2:6. But she won the next two parts with 6:3 and 6:1, in the decisive set of samples submitted to Russian three times to close the match after almost two hours of play.
Placed under № 2 Clijsters did win the first set against Marion Bartoli of 6:3, but the next because of shoulder pain did not want to risk it and gave the score 3:1 in favor of the Frenchwoman.
Bartoli will play 1/4-final against Ana Ivanovic, who beat his compatriot and last year's winner Jelena Jankovic Indian Wells with 6:4, 6:2.
Maria Sharapova also found a place in the fifth round after a convincing success against Dinara Safina with 6:2, 6:0.
The race left fifth placed Francesca Skiavone which yield to Shahar Peer of 4:6, 6:3, 6:7 (3:7).
