Seeded Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova won two tennis tournament for women in Monterey, after the final beat Jelena Jankovic favorites. The Russian won her third title of the WTA tournament and defend the trophy from last year's Mexican race.
Jankovic struggled to a 13-title WTA tournaments and matches started well. But she had health problems which affected her game in the third set. Pavlyuchenkova samples serve the Serbian player in the seventh game of 4:3. Later Russian won their submission and come to a new breakthrough in the last game, which game was completed with a double error on Jankovic.
Pavlyuchenkova won two from two matches against Jankovic in his career, and it is 10 wins and no loss of the tournament in Monterrey. Another title for the Russian had won in the Turkish city of Istanbul.
"Some time ago I said that last year was very successful for me, but this is perhaps even more special. Last year I won with the support of the great audience in Monterey, but this year things just repeated," said Pavlyuchenkova after the finale.
