Champion Australian Open Novak Djokovic (Serbia) qualified for the semifinals of the strongest tennis tournament in Dubai with a prize fund 1.62 million dollars.
Djokovic, who is No. 2-seeded and No. 3 in the world, beat Florian Mayer in the quarterfinals (Germany) with 7:5, 6:1 for 76 minutes.
For Novak Djokovic, it was the 12th consecutive victory. For this is Serbian and the first tournament since winning the title in Melbourne in January.
The semifinals rival Djokovic will be number 3 in the main draw Tomas Berdych (Czech Republic). Berdych beat Philip Pechner (Germany) with 7:5, 6:4 to 1:47.
