Robin Soderling of Sweden and Marin Cilic of Croatia will argue for the title of the strongest tennis tournament for men in the French city of Marseille. Seeded one in the master plan Soderling had serious problems with Dmitry Tursunov and remove Russian athlete success after 7-5, 6-1. Croat Cilic however remove seeded three in the main draw Mikhail Youzhny of Russia 6-2, 1-6, 7-5. Soderling will chase a second consecutive strong tournament title after winning last weekend's race in Rotterdam.
