Federer and Djokovic an easy win in Melbourne21-01-2011 |
Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic overcame easily the third round of Australian Open, respectively, removing Xavier Malisse and Victor Troizk.
Federer's record against the Belgian success convincing 6-3, 6-3, 6-1 in one hour and 45 minutes, while Djokovic won the first set against Troizk 6-2, then Serb dropped out through injury.
In other matches from that night placed under № 6 Tomas Berdych beat Richard Gasquet with a 6-2, 7-6 (7-3), 6-2, № 8 Andy Roddick beat Robin Haase of 2-6, 7-6 (7-2), 6-2, 6-2 and Nicolas Almagro № 14 Ivan Ljubicic eliminated in three sets 6-4, 7-6 (10-8), 6-3.
Federer, who defended his title last year in Melbourne, the next stage will argue with Spaniard Tommy Robredo. Djokovic's opponent in round 4 and will be Almagro.
