Shoulder injury is the reason in the world rankings leader Rafael Nadal to opt out of tournament tennis Masters Series in the French capital Paris. Originally announced only that he will not play in the final race, but did not state the reasons for this.
The Spaniard has received a tendon injury in the shoulder during practice for the service and will miss the tournament, which begins next week.
"The injury is not very serious, but my doctor warned me to undergo intensive treatment, rehabilitation and physiotherapy. I apologize to the organizers of the tournament, which always have treated me in a special way, but mostly I apologize to the fans" said Nadal.
