40-year Japanese Kimiko tenisitka also Chairman Krum failed to win the title of the tennis tournament for women in Osaka (Japan) in prize money 220,000 dollars.
Krum failed to set a record in tennis for the oldest champion of the circuit tournaments WTA.
Title won in Osaka Tamarino Tanasugarn (Thailand), which beat Krum with 7:5, 6:7 (4:7), 6:1.
This is the fourth career title on Tanasugarn, a common age of the two finalists was 73 years.
33-year-old Thai made two breaks in the decisive third set and won the match after the 3:07 game.
So far the oldest competitor, which has won tournament WTA, is the legendary Billie Jean King in Birmingham in 1983-a year when she was 39 years, 7 months and 23 days.
Also Chairman Krum, who returned to the court in April 2008 after 12 year break, beat last year's champion here Samantha Stosur (Australia) in the quarterfinals.
