Mazzulla: We need to capitalize on George and Conley`s desire to win a championship. Boston head coach Joe Mazzulla discussed how the team can use the different experiences of its players after a major roster overhaul this offseason.
Some Boston basketball players have already won championships and know what it means to achieve the main goal, while Paul George and Mike Conley still do not have championship rings.
We have Mitchell (Robinson) coming in after the win. And Mike and Paul, as they themselves said, have a different view of the situation - they have not yet been able to achieve this and have a great desire. We need to use it for the benefit of the team, ” the 38-year-old specialist emphasized.
According to him, the combination of the experience of champions and the motivation of players who have not yet won a title could be an advantage for the Celtics. At the same time, the team will not form a rigid identity in advance - Mazzulla expects that it will develop directly during the season.
Victories will contribute to this, defeats too, as will training and travel. We`ll just continue to work on it, ” said the Boston coach.
