Draymond Green on possible trade to Bucks: I`ll be honest. I didn`t want to play there. Draymond Green knows he has reached the point in his career where he could be traded. The Golden State veteran noted that the trade rumors involving Cannis Antetokounmpo initially hurt him, but he quickly took them in a positive light.
I`m a living person. For a second [during the deadline] I thought: Damn, can they really do this to me?
But I understand the essence of this business, perhaps better than most players. I realize this is Cannis Antetokounmpo we are talking about. They won`t trade me for a bag of peanuts. In a sense, this would even be a reason for pride.
But I`ll be honest. “I didn’t want to play for Milwaukee, ” Green admitted.
The 36-year-old Warriors forward has a $27. 7 million player option for next season and is expected to pick it up.
