Atlanta Alexey Miranchuk fired their head coach. The press service of the American club announced the resignation of Ronny Deila and the beginning of the search for a new head coach.
Obviously, we have not lived up to our standards this season, and together with the club`s management, we decided that it would be best for Atlanta to move in a different direction. “Ultimately, we owe it to our fans to deliver a much better experience on the pitch, and we remain committed to delivering this as quickly as possible, ” said Club CEO and President Garth Lagerwey.
Deila will take over the leadership of Atlanta in December 2024. This MLS season, the club finished second to last in the East, finishing in 14th place and missing the playoffs.
