World No. 1 Rafael Nadal (Spain) qualified for the semifinals of tenisturnira in Tokyo, with a prize fund 2.1 million dollars after it easily beat Dmitry Tursunov (Russia) with 2:0 sets - 6:4, 6: 1.
The place of final Nadal will face the winner of the match between Viktor Troizk (Serbia) and Guillermo Garcia Lopez (Spain).
Interestingly, last week the world's No. 1 losing to compatriot Lopez in the semifinals in Bangkok.
The other semifinal will meet Gael Monfils (France) and Radek Stepanek (Czech Republic). Monfils beat second-seeded Andy Roddick (USA) with 2:1 sets - 7:6 (5), 4:6, 7:6 (6). Stepanek did beat Jarkko Nieminen free game (Finland), who retired due to illness.
