James described his attitude towards the Christmas match. Lakers star LeBron James said he understands the significance of his participation in the Christmas game, but would prefer to spend time with his family.
I would rather stay at home. But, you see, this is the game I love. A game I watched as a child on TV at Christmas, watching the greatest perform. It has always been an honor for me to participate in it.
Honestly, I would love to spend the entire day at home on the couch with my family. But when duty calls, we have to go out and perform, and I look forward to that, ” James said.
The 40-year-old forward is preparing to improve his NBA record for the most Christmas games played. The game against Houston on December 26 will be James` 20th.
