Andy Roddick reacted to Daniil Medvedev`s breakdown after his departure from the US Open. In the first round of the US Open, Medvedev lost to Benjamin Bonzi, demonstrating contradictory behavior during the match. After the match he broke his racket.
Medvedev beat anyone on this planet - and did it for a long time - but not Bonzi. It doesn’t work out with Bonzi (Medvedev loses in the head-to-head 0:3 – Sports’).
He broke in the fifth set. I generally like it when players lose control - I definitely don`t change the channel at those times.
But still, he lost in five games, and now he will have to look for answers in a point where he has not been, probably, for seven or eight years. I remember a couple of weeks ago Opelka called a judge an idiot in Canada and got a fine.
I thought we`d see Meddie`s signature magic again. After the steering wheel in the fourth set, it seemed that there would definitely be a comeback, but it didn’t work out. But at least he yelled at someone, ” Roddick said on the Served podcast.
