According to Max, the updates have made the Red Bull car faster, but this is still not enough to compete for the highest places.

So we need more time to evaluate the performance of new products. But yes, they did not have a negative effect. And we can also continue to work and try to further develop the car in this direction, because, as it seems to me, we have not yet achieved what we want. To truly join the fight, we need something more.
We continue to have difficulties due to the limitations of our machine in certain areas. At the same time, we are a little short of speed on the straights this weekend. On the other hand, McLaren and Mercedes decided to use new engines on our site, and this always gives a small increase in power. But yeah, our qualifying pace seemed to be a little better.
Whereas race pace is a completely different story, of course. The tires on this track get very hot. But we`ll see what happens in the race - whether it rains or not, how hot the weather will be. Honestly, for us, the cooler the better, ” Verstappen said.
