Ben Simmons has confirmed his intention to return to the Australian team at the 2028 Olympics. This is what I always wanted - to play at the Olympics. If I’m healthy and ready to play, I’ll definitely be there, ” the Clippers point guard said.
Simmons also supported the appointment of Adam Caporn as head coach of the Australian national team.
I`ve known Adam Caporn for a long time and I`m happy for him. He`s a great coach and a great person. I’m looking forward to talking with him and establishing a connection, continuing to develop our relationship before the next Olympics, ” the player noted.
Simmons last represented Australia in 2013 at the Oceania Championships.
