Ilya Samsonov signed a contract with Sochi. 28-year-old goalkeeper Ilya Samsonov signed a two-year agreement with Sochi.
The Southerners exchanged the rights to the hockey player from Metallurg. The Magnitogorsk club received monetary compensation.
Samsonov will earn 28 million rubles under the contract this season, 40 million rubles next season, reports Sport-Express.
The goalkeeper played for Vegas last season. He played 29 matches in the NHL regular season, won 16 victories, allowed an average of 2. 82 goals and saved 89. 1% of shots.
Also in the NHL, the goalkeeper played for Washington and Toronto. Samsonov has not played in the KHL since the 2017/18 season.
