McLaren`s car was carefully examined for violations in Miami. McLaren`s rear brakes have attracted the attention of rivals, who are trying to understand what makes the British superior to other teams when it comes to tire work. Competitors have found that McLaren manages to cool the rear brakes more effectively, which in turn helps prevent tires from overheating.
According to The Race, Red Bull obtained temperature distribution maps, discovered interesting cold spots in the McLaren brake system and showed images to the FIA.
At the Miami Grand Prix, McLaren executive director Zak Brown responded to the question of whether the Federation demanded anything be changed in the car:
No. Nothing.
The publication reports that in the final stages the FIA studied the design of the braking system. After McLaren`s double at the Miami Grand Prix, the Federation carried out a more detailed check. There are no official documents from the inspection yet, but the team or stewards have not received any notification of problems. This almost certainly means that the FIA found no violations and the McLaren design fully complies with the regulations, the portal explains.
