Finn Jarkko Nieminen will play finals for the first time since January 2009, after defeating 6-3, 6-2 Benjamin Becker in the German Open semi-finals of Thailand.
Nieminen will play the winner of the second semifinal between Rafael Nadal and Guillermo Garcia-Lopez and world number one will try to win a seventh title this season.
Nieminen finally overcame the semifinal stage after dropping right there in his last three made the final four.
Finn is still not lost a set en route to the finish. Semifinal victory did was 21st for him this season against 22 losses.
