World No. 1 Rafael Nadal (Spain) qualified for the semifinals of the tennis tournament in Bangkok in prize money 551,000 dollars.
In a match of the quarterfinals Nadal had no problems against Mikhail Kukushkin (Kazakhstan) and won with 6:2, 6:3.
The Spaniard made three breaks and ended the match for 71 minutes. This is 61 win total of 68 matches for Nadal this year.
Nadal in the semifinals will play the winner of the match between Ernests Gulbis (Latvia) and Guillermo Garcia Lopez (Spain), which is later today.
In the remaining matches in the quarterfinals Benjamin Becker (Germany) beat his compatriot Daniel Brands with 6:4, 6:2 in the semifinals and will face Jarkko Nieminen (Finland), which remove the No. 3-seeded Jurgen Melzer (Australia) after 6:3, 7:6 (7:4).
