Adjar is pleased with the result of the race in Monaco. The Racing Bulls driver summed up the results of the Monaco Grand Prix, noting that he was very happy to earn points in his debut F1 race in Monte Carlo.
During the race, the Racing Bulls racers became the first to openly use tactics of holding back the peloton while a teammate goes ahead and gets the opportunity to make a free pit stop without losing position.
This tactic helped Adjar finish in 6th position, while his teammate Liam Lawson finished the race in 8th.
The weekend turned out great for me. I really enjoyed qualifying, I had a lot more fun on Saturday than I did in the Sunday race. But, nevertheless, we ran the race well, executing the strategy perfectly.
Liam helped me a lot. We showed great teamwork, which also helped me, but Liam also earned points, I`m happy for him.
In general, I am proud of this result, because after Friday’s practices my self-confidence was at a very low level, and the third practice went poorly. So I didn’t feel confident driving the car, but we somehow managed to turn the situation around quickly, so I’m very proud of the team, ” Adjar said.
