Isco was out for about three months due to injury. On Saturday, Betis lost to Malaga (1:3). The midfielder received a blow to his left leg, after which he left the stadium on crutches and in a splint.
Betis` official medical report states that the 34-year-old player has a new non-displaced fracture in the middle third of his left fibula.
This is a new injury, unrelated to the previous one, which has already been treated.
The player will undergo conservative treatment in the coming weeks and his return will depend on the progress of the treatment, Betis said in a statement.
Isco underwent two operations on his leg last year and had a plate fitted.
