CSKA about the transfer ban: A stage in the fight for justice. It will be removed - no problem. But we don’t expect a different outcome in the case with West Ham, which owes about 20 million

CSKA Communications Director spoke about the club`s transfer ban. FIFA has imposed a transfer ban on CSKA for three windows - until the summer of 2026.
The news is as follows: the FIFA disciplinary committee has imposed a transfer ban on CSKA as part of the decision in the case of Ejuke and Heerenveen. We were ready for this decision - this is the expected intermediate stage in our struggle for justice.
It is important to emphasize that there is still a month and a half until the start of the winter transfer window, and we have never refused to pay, being in dialogue with Heerenveen representatives and offering various payment options. That is why there is no need to worry about the ban, it will be lifted, and there are no problems or contradictions in this.
But after this decision by FIFA, we do not expect a different outcome in our case with West Ham, who owe us about 20 million. If we don’t pay and get banned, then – let’s be consistent – similar sanctions should be imposed on West Ham. Especially considering that we offer all kinds of payment options to both Heerenveen and West Ham.
In October, at the initiative of our club, Heerenveen, CSKA and West Ham agreed on a tripartite agreement, under which West Ham had to pay our part of the debt directly to Heerenveen. However, West Ham did not do this, citing the British sanctions list (which, by the way, we are not on), and the Dutch appealed to the Disciplinary Committee, and they can be understood.
We continue to do everything to make a consistent decision from FIFA and CAS in a similar situation in the Vlasic case. At the end of September, the referees gave us and West Ham 2 months to search for options, but this search was again one-sided, which we notified CAS of this week.
A decision in the case is due in the spring of 2025. The British, not currently having any consequences for their failure to comply, therefore behave motionless and disinterested.
And we believe that the decision made regarding us will be the starting point in the Vlasic case, ” wrote CSKA Communications Director Kirill Breido.
Recall that Chidera Ejuke moved to the Moscow club in the summer of 2020 for 11. 5 million euros. In July 2024, he left as a free agent for Seville. Nikola Vlasic was bought from CSKA Moscow by the Premier League club for 30 million euros in August 2021.
