Pyrell`s tire tests had to be carried out at a negative temperature. The first tests of Shin Pirelli 2026, which the Italian company conducts to develop new trains, were scheduled for February 29 and 30. The venue was chosen by the French highway Paul Rikar.
In the course of the first day of tests, Oscar Piaste, who worked behind the wheel of McLaren, ran into problems due to weather conditions. In some sections of the track, a temperature of -2 degrees Celsius was recorded. In such conditions, intermediate and rain tires, which were planned to be tested, could not work correctly.
Maclaren and Pirelli were able to resume only in the afternoon, after a slight warming. Despite the difficulties, the final program managed to fulfill in full, and Oscar Piaste drove 120 circles driving the 2023 boiled tires finalized to new tires.
