The owner of Lyon John Textor voiced the plan how to avoid lowering in the classroom. Earlier it became known that the seven-time French champion will be expelled from the League 1 due to a debt of 505, 1 million euros if it does not correct the situation for summer. The National Directorate of Control and Management (DNCG) forbade the club to sign newcomers in winter.
Owner Lyon John Textor spoke at a press conference on Saturday, where he explained how he was going to cover a shortage of about 100 million euros. The businessman said that in the coming months, at least 300 million euros should be received by the Eagle Football Holdings maternal company, while it will not specify which of this money will be directed directly to Lyon.
The American emphasized that the regulator took into account the full picture in Eagle Football Holdings when making his decisions. The debt of the group, which also owns the Belgian Molenbek and Brazilian botapho, is 463, 8 million euros.
Eagle Football plans to sell its share in Crystal Palace (45% of the shares) in the amount of about 200 million euros and reach the exchange in New York, hoping to earn about 100 million euros.
DNCG did not want to take into account the sale of Crystal Palace and IPO. This is much more money than Lyon is required. There is no chance that we will not cope at any level. . . If all this money comes out, we will not invest everything in Lyon, but share with other subsidiaries.
