Leclerc does not give up hopes of winning the Constructors` Championship. The Ferrari driver performed unsuccessfully in qualifying, failing to qualify for the third segment. Because of this, taking into account a penalty of 10 positions for replacing the battery, ERS will start the race from last place.
At the same time, to win the Constructors` Championship following the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, Ferrari needs to score 22 points more than McLaren, whose drivers will start from the front row.

With my 10-place grid penalty, it would have been difficult for us anyway, but I still see the opportunity to ultimately achieve something special for Ferrari and will do everything possible to make it happen. And I will believe in this until the very last lap of the race - anything can happen.
We had good race pace in practice. Although McLaren, of course, looked much better. But, again, after the third practice we changed the car settings a lot - and, it seems to me, we took a step in the right direction. Well, the situation with tire wear was better for us than for other teams. So I expect that tomorrow I will be able to finish in a fairly high position, ” Leclerc said.
