Osar Thompson will be able to continue his career. The Detroit forward received permission from the commission to return after problems with a blood clot. Thompson was forced to end last season early due to health problems.
In 63 matches of the last championship, the 21-year-old forward averaged 8. 8 points, 6. 4 rebounds, 1. 9 assists, 1. 1 steals and 0. 9 blocked shots in 25. 1 minutes on the floor.
Thompson will be able to begin full contact training and make his season debut in the near future.
The forward became the fourth rookie in club history to record 50 blocked shots and 50 steals in his first season. Thompson joins Andre Drummond, Grant Hill and Terry Tyler.
The Pistons started the season with a 4-7 record.
