Lindblad intends to get into F1 as early as 2026. Red Bull program driver Arvid Lindblad said that he would like to spend one season in Formula 2, after which he would like to get into Formula 1.
Earlier, Red Bull advisor Helmut Marko admitted that the driver, who has not yet turned 18 years old, will be in F1 in 2026.
Yes, that`s the plan. Of course, it`s easy in name only, but yes, I`ve been moving up the categories very quickly in the last few years. So I need to keep the same work ethic, the same approach, and we`ll see what happens.
F2 is a very competitive championship, it just definitely won’t be, but there’s no reason why I can’t have a good year and hopefully spend one season in this category, ” Lindblad said.
Arvid told how he feels about compliments from Red Bull bosses:
It`s actually quite funny - about a week ago my mother talked to me about these interviews. And I said I didn`t want to hear about them because it didn`t matter. Of course, it’s nice when people say something like that, but words won’t get me into Formula 1.
All this can disappear very quickly. It is very easy to convince yourself of something, to gain a sense of complacency. So yeah, I don`t think about it. That is, it’s great that they are happy, because, of course, these people are very important for my future. But again, I just need to focus on my work and everything will fall into place.
I want to be in Formula 1, I will move day by day and just try to give my best.
