Norris is pleased with McLaren`s excellent performance in light of the fight with Ferrari. McLaren driver Lando Norris shared his emotions after winning pole position for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
Norris` team-mate Oscar Piastri will start Sunday`s race in second, with the Ferrari drivers in third and 20th.
Perfect day for us. Perhaps it folded a little heavier than we had hoped. We are happy with the double in qualifying, it was just a little more difficult than we would have liked. My last lap was strong. This is how we wanted to end the day.
We need to beat Ferrari, but we want to do it in style. We want to win, I want to win. We know what to do.
We remain calm and focused. We are on our website to win whenever possible. We will give it our all, keeping in mind that we really need to achieve our goal.
