Leroy Sane could be punished for punching Pascal Gross in the face in a classic. On Saturday, Bayern and Borussia Dortmund tied (1:1) in the match of the 12th round of the Bundesliga.
In one of the episodes of the 2nd half, Sane hit Gross in the face with his elbow, but after that the Borussia midfielder continued to play. Referee Sven Jablonski did not see Leroy`s action and did not show the Bayern winger a card, and VAR did not intervene either. Footage of the episode spread on social networks after the match.
As reported by Bild, the control committee of the German Football Association (DFB) will preliminarily review the episode. If an investigation begins against Sane, the Bayern winger could face sanctions up to and including disqualification.
