Joey Barton criticized the British authorities. The former Manchester City, Newcastle and Marseille midfielder commented on UK policy regarding the Ukrainian crisis.  
If these politicians start World War III with Russia, I will take the position of conscientious objector.
From a moral, religious and ethical point of view, I do not trust the government. Why we are interfering in this, I don’t understand. We and our country have plenty of problems.
After the disasters in Iraq and Afghanistan, we have lost all respect on global issues. We no longer have moral superiority over anyone.
We can`t afford to keep our elderly warm, but we can easily send billions of dollars in aid to war zones, ” Barton wrote.
