Norris believes he was unlucky in the race in Brazil. The McLaren driver commented on his sixth place at the Sao Paulo Grand Prix.
I did everything I could today. That`s it. Max [Verstappen] won the race. He did well, but it doesn`t change anything for me.
Max was simply faster than us. I think if he had started at the front, he probably would have been a lap ahead of us. We had good pace. I think we were about the same pace as George [Russell], but Red Bull was very fast today.
For us, the weekend passed with varying degrees of success. There wasn`t much I could do. For me, finishing in third place was probably realistic, so it’s hard to accept this result.
Max probably would have passed us anyway, but yeah, we were out of luck. Nothing more. I made a couple of mistakes, which I admit. It cost me a couple positions in the end, but it is what it is, ” Norris said.
