The income of La Liga clubs from the sale of television rights in the 2021/22 season has been published.
The total income of the 20 La Liga clubs was 1. 43 billion euros. Real Madrid earned the most from TV rights – 160. 85 million euros. The second place in this indicator belongs to Barcelona - 160. 13 million. Atlético earned 130. 31 million euros from the sale of television rights last season. Rayo Vallecano earned the least in La Liga - 45. 86 million euros.
Compared to the 2020/21 season, the income of Barcelona and Real Madrid was lower last season (in the 20/21 season they were 165, 6 and 163 million euros, respectively).
In addition, Barça, Real Madrid and Atlético Madrid are among the European teams with the highest revenue from television rights sales. By this indicator, they are superior to any club in the Bundesliga, Italian Serie A and French Ligue 1 and are at the level of the Big Six of the Premier League.
Compared to the 2016/17 season, La Liga revenues as a whole increased by 15%, while the Premier League - by only 5%.
