Carter Hart is the 7th goalie in Philadelphia history to record 40+ saves in a shutout.
Today the Flyers beat Winnipeg (4:0) in the NHL regular season match.
The 24-year-old Canadian stopped all 40 shots on his own goal and was recognized as the first star.
The record in Philadelphia history for most saves during a shutout belongs to Darren Jensen (48 saves), who kept a shutout in a 1-0 win over St. Louis in 1986.
Also notable were Steve Mason (46 saves, 2014), Doug Favell (43 – 1971 and 40 – 1970), Roman Cechmanek (41 – 2003), Martin Biron (40 – 2008) and Brian Elliott (40 – 2021).
