Coco Gauff spoke out about the dispute with the judge in the semi-finals of Roland Garros.
She lost to Iga Swiatek 2:6, 4:6.
With the score 2:1, 0:15 in the second set, the lineman called out on Swiatek`s serve. Chair umpire Aurelie Tort changed the decision and gave the point to Schwiatek because Gauff took it into touch.
Gauff claimed that she was interrupted by the lineman`s scream.
The American argued with the judge for several minutes and then began to cry.
“I think I was just overwhelmed by everything that was happening. ”I was behind in the count. In a match with any opponent, every point is important, but especially with her. It was just such a moment, but I managed it and won that game.
I usually don`t get too upset about decisions like this, but at that moment everything came together.

It`s almost absurd that we don`t have such a system. Not only because it happened to me, but also because it exists in all sports. Plus, there are a lot of decisions made in tennis, and it sucks when the player then watches the replay on the Internet, realizes that he was completely right, and is like: So what now? .
In some situations, you can call a supervisor, but there is little he can do. I believe that our sport must develop, and we have technology. The replay is shown on the broadcast, so I don`t understand why the player can`t watch it.
