Manchester United will look to strengthen their midfield following Christian Eriksen`s injury.
Earlier it became known that the Dane was due to an ankle injury.
According to The Telegraph, the English club wants to take the midfield player on loan until the end of the season. Manchester United have offered Atlético Madrid midfielder Yannick Ferreira Carrasco.
The Belgian`s representatives have been in contact with Manchester United, but at the moment the player`s transfer to Barcelona in the summer looks more likely.
Despite Eriksen`s injury, coach Erik ten Hag is not sure he wants to see Carrasco at Manchester United.
United have contacted several European clubs to see if they could sign any of their midfielders on loan before the transfer window closes. The club has been in contact with Atlético Madrid, Barcelona, Real Madrid and PSG, but has not yet achieved success.
Note that Barca has an optional right to buy Carrasco after Memphis Depay`s transfer to Atletico Madrid. The Catalans will be able to buy the winger for 20 million euros in the summer. Barça are expected to take advantage of this opportunity.
