According to Bleacher Report insider Chris Haynes, Chicago head coach Billy Donovan told point guard Russell Westbrook what awaits him on his team.

I was told that Billy Donovan told Russ that he should go to Chicago. I don`t know if they discussed it. I don`t know if it was a text message. But I was told that the message was relayed to Russ, ” Haynes said.

Westbrook spent four seasons under Donovan at Oklahoma.

The 34-year-old point guard was traded before the deadline from the Lakers to Utah, which plans to buy out his contract.
