The San Francisco 49ers have signed running back Christian McCaffrey to a two-year extension.
On a four-year deal signed with the Carolina Panthers in 2020, McCaffrey averaged $16 million per year and was the highest-paid running back in the league.
McCaffrey was scheduled to earn $11 in base salary this coming season. 8 million, and in the 2025 season - $12 million.
Now the running back has a 4-year contract worth a total of $62. 2 million - $15. 5 million per season on average. Of this amount, $24 million is a fully guaranteed amount.
