Sainz commented on his third place in qualifying in Monte Carlo.
Ferrari driver Carlos Sainz spoke out after qualifying for the Monaco Grand Prix, which he finished third, behind teammate Charles Leclerc and McLaren driver Oscar Piastri.
For me this is an improvement. I had problems with confidence and feeling in the car all weekend, so overall third place is a step forward.
I`m not entirely satisfied, because I wanted to fight for pole. But the truth is that Charles performed in an outstanding manner.
The car was amazing all weekend and he managed to make the most of it – I’m happy for him, ” said the Spaniard.
Carlos also shared his thoughts on Sunday`s race:
I looked very strong for long stretches. For some reason I was having difficulty in short sections. I`m sure the pace will be good tomorrow.
It`s all about track position and we didn`t have such a great position in qualifying. This is Monaco. Anything can happen, and we will do our best. Charles`s victory will be a priority.
