Several NBA executives believe Kyrie Irving and Brooklyn will sign a new contract after the 2022-23 season, HoopsHype`s Michael Scotto reports.
I think Kyrie will sign a new short-term contract. It will be difficult to trade Kyrie in a sign-and-trade this summer. I think there is an incentive to extend the contract by one plus one or two years.
If I were Brooklyn, I wouldn`t give it more than two years. I don`t know if Kairi will accept this offer. The Lakers will have cap space this summer and could offer two years and $60 million, a league executive said.
