Didier Deschamps did not want to see Karim Benzema in the French national team.
According to journalist Romain Molina, the French national team coach was not enthusiastic about the idea of the Real Madrid forward returning to the national team. It is noted that Deschamps was forced to call Benzema to the national team because of his outstanding performance in Madrid.
