Grizzlies guard Dillon Brooks was suspended for one game without pay following a brawl during the 128-113 Cleveland-Memphis game. NBA Vice President of Basketball Operations Joe Dumars announced that his opponent, Donovan Mitchell, will be fined $20, 000.
The incident occurred midway through the third quarter. Brooks went into the pass, missed the ring and fell to the floor, after which he hit Mitchell in the crotch area. He threw the ball at his opponent and pushed him away. As a result, a brawl occurred involving players and coaches of both teams.
Brooks received a second-degree unsportsmanlike foul for his actions and was ejected. Mitchell received a technical and was also ejected.
Dillon Brooks will miss Memphis` game against Toronto on Sunday.
