Negotiations have been delayed by a couple of months, but both clubs are open to the possibility of a trade depending on how the next two weeks go before the deadline.
The Lakers are interested in acquiring Jacob Pellet, Josh Richardson and Doug McDermott from the Spurs.
The Spurs are in no rush to trade Richardson and McDermott. Earlier it was reported that the club intends to get a first-round draft pick for Richardson.
