- It was a great moment for me, for the whole team, for the country. For me personally, it was important to be in the final of this magnitude, to prove myself and try to win for the country. This is a moment of very high pressure, a good game at such moments and a victory gives any player a lot of confidence.
Of course, this is not the first time. I`ve been in similar situations. But the opportunity to do it again and win the decisive match for the team is extremely special. Of course, I am proud of this achievement, it gave me a lot of self-confidence.
– I don`t think it was a direct result of winning the Davis Cup. I feel like people are learning more and more about tennis and I hope we see young people getting into tennis, watching the sport in general, watching the players.
But it`s not like my visibility and popularity skyrocketed after the Davis Cup. It seems to me that over the past couple of years, interest in me has been fairly stable.
