Kevin Magnussen is not upset about dropping to eighth in the sprint at the Sao Paulo Grand Prix.
Haas` rider started the race first after winning qualifying and set his sights on getting ahead of Lando Norris. As a result, Magnussen finished after his rival from McLaren.
I really enjoyed the ride. And we got a point - a very important point in the fight for eighth place with Alpha Tauri. We understood that we would not win the race, and such a goal did not stand. It was important to enjoy the start from pole and then try to earn a point.
The dream was to finish ahead of Lando, right after all the cars of the big teams. It didn`t quite work out, but we`re still happy with the eighth place score. We will start the race eighth - after the standard qualification, the team would be very pleased with this position. This is a start from the top 10, and I hope it will be possible to earn points again, - said Magnussen.
