Daniel Ricciardo spoke about the talents of McLaren driver Lando Norris.
Ricciardo believes that at the moment it is premature to talk about whether Norris is a racer of the level of Max Verstappen.
It`s hard to make a direct comparison until he (Norris) is on the top team and is fighting among the leaders on a consistent basis. Of course, I don`t want to belittle him, but when you win, you can see how you handle [pressure]. In those moments, I go back to Lewis [Hamilton]: yes, he won, and the car was great, but he did it anyway, withstood the pressure, gave the result.
In terms of skill, the guy is very good. I don`t know if I can say that he`s like Max - it`s hard to compare. But the guy is good, - said the ex-partner of Norris, and now the third pilot of Red Bull in the Beyond the Grid podcast.
Daniel also commented on his words that - Norris was helped in some sense by the fact that he did not play for other teams:
I don`t mean that the team put everything on him and not on me. However, he grew up in this team, everything is familiar on our site, and he obviously demonstrated his pace and speed. Everyone at McLaren is in awe of what Lando is capable of.
