Ferrari test driver Robert Schwartzman spoke about his plans for the 2023 season.
According to Schwartzman, racing will be his top priority:
I have several options. I received several offers. So let`s see. My goal is to race. Although at the same time I do not want to lose contact with the Formula 1 paddock.
F1 is still my dream. So I want to stay as a reserve driver, I can continue to help the team with the development of the car, working on the simulator, which is also very interesting. But, I repeat, the main goal is to compete in some kind of racing series.
Schwartzman finished the 2021 season in Formula 2 in second position, losing only to Oscar Piastri, and at the same time ahead of Zhou Guangyu:
Of course, a Formula 2 title would help me a lot, but for some reason we couldn`t put it all together and Oscar Piastri had a perfect season. So yes, the second place in the championship, and behind the newcomer, hardly played into my hands. At the same time, it cannot be said that I performed poorly - just at decisive moments, many things went wrong. Be that as it may, now I prefer to focus on the present and the future.
