Lando Norris is not expecting McLaren`s strong performance at the Brazilian Grand Prix.
According to the rider, the English team has recently been inferior in pure speed to competitors from the Alpins, and the Interlagos track simply does not fit the characteristics of the MCL36 chassis.
I would not say that the track in Brazil suits us because of the balance of the car and all our problems.
I think in the last races we were not fast enough at all, but we just chose a better strategy, and our technique was more reliable, which allowed us to at least get to the finish line, ” says Norris.
Two stages before the end of the season, McLaren takes 5th place in the Constructors` Championship and is 7 points behind Alpin (occupied 4th line).
In the last five races (starting with the Italian Grand Prix), McLaren scored 45 points against 28 for Alpin.
