Ex-defender of the NHL clubs and the Slovakian national team Milan Jurchina retired at the age of 39.
His last club was Sparta Prague, in which he spent 3 previous seasons and started playing in the current one.
The Slovak played 7 seasons in the NHL, where he played for Boston, Washington, Columbus and the Islanders. In 430 league games, he scored 81 (22 + 59) points. Added 2 goals in 21 Stanley Cup games.
The player also has experience playing in the KHL (one season in Dynamo Riga and one in Medvescak), Finland, Switzerland and Germany.
As part of the Slovakian national team, Yur?ina competed at three Olympics and five World Championships.
