LGBT fans of Arsenal intend to boycott the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
Claims by groups like ours are based on the failure to respect the fundamental human rights of LGBT people in Qatar, as well as other countries where LGBT people are still subject to criminal prosecution, and on the lack of a basic right for LGBT people to exist.
Members of the LGBT community did not choose their orientation. And LGBT people living in Qatar are forced to hide their true selves before, during, and after the World Cup.
We cannot speak directly for them, but we will do everything in our power to wake up the world and realize that orientation is not chosen, that football should be open to everyone.
