Daniil Medvedev commented on the victory at the tournament in Vienna. In the final he beat Denis Shapovalov - 4:6, 6:3, 6:2.
I am very glad. It was the best match of the week, because somewhere before the score 4:3 in the second set Denis played simply unrealistic. His level dropped maybe two percent, and I was able to use it. This is one of the best wins - when you know that the opponent is pressing you, but you fight and do your best.
I like to play indoors at the end of the season. It seems to me that the team and I are doing an excellent job of ensuring that I come to these tournaments not burned out. I`m looking forward to the last two tournaments of the season, because they are very important and usually I have a good time.
